Description

Nutmeg is a perennial evergreen spice tree that was possibly introduced to Sri Lanka in the early 19th century, or perhaps earlier, by traders travelling along the ancient Silk Route. Nutmeg is recognised for its distinct spicy flavour and is used in cooking all over the world.
